Recharge, Reenergize and Reconnect

Our recent bout of snow and cold weather has disrupted everyone’s busy schedules. But as Minnesotans, we know we have the determination and stamina to prevail over our winter weather until spring shines through.
Similarly, we as activists have weathered the long mid-term election season to elect legislators who will work for all Minnesotans. Now you may be asking, “Where do we go from here?”
Find the answers at the MNxMN 2019: Beyond the Vote conference on February 24. This year’s conference is designed to help you recharge your batteries and inject a breath of spring into your efforts.
Over 40 workshops, forums and sessions are planned. Highlights include:
Keynote speaker and Minneapolis artist/activist Ricardo Levins Morales
Building Powerful Coalitions to Win Any Issue
Moving from Indifference to Action
The Case For Health Care Payment Reform
Why Legalizing Cannabis is a Big Deal
The Fight to Stop the Line 3 Pipeline
POCI Intersectionality Advocacy
Our State, Our Stories: Listening to Minnesota Women
Police Brutality 101
Better Angels: Connecting Across Political Difference
TPS & DED: A Fight to Avoid a Second Displacement
New this year are our informal Gathering Spaces. These are short, hands-on activities focused on self-care and taking time to reflect and connect with others. The day will end with a fun, interactive activity to send you on your way with renewed energy.
