FROM OUTRAGE TO ACTIVISM: What’s Next?

On January 21, 2017, the Women’s March broke records as the biggest single-day protest in American history. One hundred thousand Minnesotans joined millions of marchers across the country and around the world to ensure the new administration would hear our voice. It kicked off a firestorm of protests against the Trump administration’s unprecedented challenges to the rule of law and repeated attacks on the institutions essential to our democracy.

So where do we go from here? To move beyond outrage to meaningful action we need to provide ongoing support for existing organizations, provide education and resources for activists, and address the issues facing the diverse population in our state. That brings us to the MNxMN 2018: Beyond Resistance conference. On January 28, 2018, experienced and newly motivated activists will join forces to focus on next steps through:

  • Community Building

  • Skills for Effective Activism

  • Understanding the Issues: Passion to Purpose
